What are the habits of success? Every January, we do the same old thing to prepare for the year to come. We make a plan to better our lives, whether we promise to stop smoking, lose weight, spend more time with family etc. However, research shows that only a fraction of new year’s resolutions actually stick. So, what’s the point really? Do we just create one to fit in? Or, because that’s what we think we should do?
Really, if you think about it, we could have monthly or even weekly resolutions to ensure we stay on track. After all, setting one resolution at the start of the year and leaving it to flourish is generally why so many of them fail.
So, here are 4 no BS-things you can do NOW to work towards that good old ‘resolution’ of yours.
1. Practice Gratitude.
“Gratitude is the healthiest of all human emotions. The more you express gratitude for what you have, the more likely you will have even more to express gratitude for“. Zig Ziglar
First of all, if you can be grateful every single day for the little things you have, you only attract more reasons to be grateful. And, if you feel grateful, you feel happy. So, why wouldn’t you want to be happy every day? If you can truly appreciate the little things like the train you catch to work.
In fact, rather than dwell on the fact it’s overcrowded and smelly, appreciate the service that makes your life easier (don’t have to worry about petrol, car park, fines, traffic). And, you will develop a new outlook on the world. So, next time you are waiting in a long line, use one of the top habits of success: turn impatience into appreciation.
2. Create a Vision Board.
Next, visualization is the most powerful tool for achieving your goals.
“The law of attraction is forming your entire life experience and it is doing that through your thoughts. When you are visualizing, you are emitting a powerful frequency out into the Universe.” The Secret.
For example, create a board with pictures of everything you desire. And, leave it in a place where you will look at it every day. You are powerfully creating your every desire. Therefore, think of it as goal setting: every day you wake up and remember what you want to achieve. As a result, there’s no room to be distracted.

3. Educate Yourself.
Third, a winning habit of success is constant education. Whether it be books, blogs, videos or seminars, start taking the necessary steps today to work towards your goals. The importance of consistency and repetition with gratitude and visualization will drive you to achieve your goals. In addition, there is endless information available from experts who can remove the guesswork. And, they can teach you the exact skills you need to help achieve your goals.
Access these resources and develop the skills that allow you to get that promotion, start that business, lose that weight, climb that mountain or double your income. For example, I use Mentorbox which is perfect for me because I can learn on the go. But, good old fashion books work like magic. A wise man once said, “The more you learn, the more you earn.” Warren Buffet.

4. Take Action Today.
In conclusion, I think the word today is critical in putting the wheels in motion with strong habits of success. Many time, we procrastinate, we delay, we think we have all the time in the world. But, if you research the top millionaires in the world, they all say the same thing – I mean they can’t all be wrong, can they?
“Don’t let the fear of the time it will take to accomplish something stand in the way of your doing it. The time will pass anyway; we might just as well put that passing time to the best possible use.” Earl Nightingale
So, if your goals are to make more money, get more fit, grow your business or just achieve something that’s been on that dusty bucket list. The time is now!
Besides, when we are grateful for everything in your lives, we are in a positive mindset. And, we have a vision board to direct and allow us to see it in the physical form. Also, when we work towards “learning more” we attract the resources we need to help us achieve these goals.
Really, the mind is extremely powerful. In fact, experts say we process 60,000-80,000 thoughts per day, 95% of those thoughts are automated. Therefore, use these habits of success, focuse on the exact things you want and break it down. It will allow you to dedicate all of your power to achieve it. And, there is no way you can fail.
